Wonder, home of Gem Atlas, is a free set of interactive atlases made by Opal Interactive. It has no accounts and no ads, and it never sells or shares what it learns about visits.

Google Analytics, only if you accept

When you first open Wonder, a banner asks whether we may use Google Analytics cookies. Until you press Accept, the Google tag is not even loaded, so if you reject or never answer, nothing goes to Google.

If you accept, Google Analytics counts:

• the pages you open and the stone you look at;
• what you do with it: change the tab, the light or the form (cut or natural), share it, send feedback, or press "Check a price I was quoted" or "Add to my collection";
• the language of the page.

Google also sees your browser and device and uses your IP address to estimate your city and country. For visitors in the EU, Switzerland and the UK, Google says it does not store that IP address. We never learn your name or email, Google signals and ad features are off, and Google keeps this data for 14 months.

The cookies are _ga and _ga_1D0WE30SFX. They last up to two years and are set only on wonder.opalinteractive.io, not on the rest of opalinteractive.io.

Change your choice

Use "Cookie settings" here or at the bottom of the catalog. If you reject after accepting, Analytics stops at once and its cookies are deleted.

Kept in your browser

Wonder keeps a few small notes in your browser's storage, which never leave it: your cookie choice (gb.consent), the last tab you read on a stone (gb.tab2) and, until you close the tab, whether you have already turned a stone (gb.dragged, so the hint stops showing). Clearing your site data removes them.

The feedback form

If you send feedback, we keep your answers, your email if you leave one (only to reply to you), the page you came from and your browser type. To stop the form from being flooded, we also keep a one-way code made from your IP address, never the address itself. The answers are stored in Sanity, the content system Opal Interactive uses, and only our team reads them.

Hosting

The site is served by Vercel, which, like any web host, receives your IP address and browser with each request. The fonts are served from this site, not from Google. Links to dealers, WhatsApp or other sites only reach them when you press them.
